5. CANCELLATION & REFUNDS
We understand that circumstances change, and we aim to be fair and reasonable in all refund decisions. Our default policy is set out below, and we will always consider individual circumstances with care.
5.1 Cancellation by the Participant — Non-Medical
Timing of Cancellation : More than 14 days before the first session
Refund : Full refund
Timing of Cancellation : Within 14 days of first session, before it takes place
Refund : Full refund minus a €75 administration fee
Timing of Cancellation : After the first session has taken place
Refund : No automatic refund. Contact us — we will consider your circumstances and may offer a partial refund, programme deferral, or credit at our discretion.
To cancel, please contact us in writing at hello@joinnovara.com. Cancellations take effect from the date we receive written notice.
5.2 Cancellation by the Participant — Medical Withdrawal
We recognise that health conditions can change. If you need to withdraw from the programme due to a change in your health:
• Before the programme starts: full refund, no administration fee.
• After the programme has started: we will handle this on a case-by-case basis with compassion. In most circumstances we will offer a pro-rata refund based on sessions not yet attended, a deferral to a future cohort, or a combination of both. We may ask for brief written confirmation from your cardiologist or GP.
To request a medical withdrawal refund, please contact us at hello@joinnovara.com. We will respond within 5 working days.
5.3 Cooling-Off Period — Statutory Rights
Under Irish consumer law (European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013) and UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason and receive a full refund, provided the programme has not yet commenced.
If you request the programme to begin within the 14-day cooling-off period and it does so, your right to a full refund under consumer law may be reduced proportionally to reflect services already delivered. NOVARA will always handle this generously.
5.4 Cancellation or Changes by NOVARA
NOVARA reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a session or cohort in exceptional circumstances (e.g. facilitator illness, insufficient cohort numbers, force majeure). In such cases:
• If a session is rescheduled: we will offer an alternative date. If the alternative is not suitable, a pro-rata refund for that session will be issued.
• If a full cohort is cancelled before it begins: a full refund will be issued within 14 days.
• If a programme is discontinued mid-delivery: a pro-rata refund for sessions not delivered will be issued within 14 days.
NOVARA will not be liable for any additional costs incurred by participants as a result of cancellation or rescheduling (e.g. travel, accommodation).
Our commitment: We want every participant to feel that NOVARA has treated them fairly. If you are unhappy with any refund decision, please contact us directly and we will review it. Our goal is always a reasonable outcome for both parties.
6. PARTICIPANT RESPONSIBILITIES
By enrolling, you agree to:
• Engage honestly and in good faith with the programme and facilitator
• Attend sessions only when you are well and not experiencing new or worsening cardiac symptoms
